Key Responsibilities
1. Product Research and Development
- To make feasibility study with FRP Engineering Manager based on scope defined by R&D requests.
- Prepare drawings, BOM, route based on specification and the determined formulations.
- Calculate and analysis product cost (raw material, labor, consumable, energy), dedicated in cost saving for new product development.
- Develop tools and fixtures for trial run and mass production, prepare the test report and provide basic analysis and conclusions.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate samples for new raw materials qualification, product qualification and process verification.
- Create and maintain working instructions (WIs) to guide smooth production.
2. Project Management
- Communicate with project team and clearly disclose projects target to be achieved.
- Schedule the projects and timely review with teams to meet deadlines.
- Identify cost drive factors to ensure the profitable outputs.
- To ensure the products developed meet DEXTRA specification and standards.
3. Continuous Improvement
- Be responsible to find solutions on supporting quality improvement.
- Be responsible to find opportunities to promote production efficiency, and for cost reduction.
- To follow the ECR procedure, drive the engineering change for continuous improvements.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Materials Science, with a Major in Polymers, Chemical Engineering, or Composites. A background in the chemical industry is highly desirable.
- It is preferable to have at least 1 year of experience in the glass fiber or polymer resin industry.
- Familiarity with some composite material forming processes, such as pultrusion and molding, is required.
- Proficiency in standard office software, along with CAD 2D and experience with Solidworks, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and FMEA is a beneficial plus.
