Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Development
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop team members to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Plan workforce needs, manage performance, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with EHS standards and regulations.
- Lead safety programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure proper maintenance practices to prevent hazards and equipment failures
Production Planning & Execution
- Implement and monitor production plans to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues impacting schedules proactively.
- Optimize production flow and minimize downtime.
Process & Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to process parameters and product specifications.
- Maintain proper identification and segregation of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and non-conforming items.
- Support audits and compliance with ISO.
Cost & Resource Management
- Control material usage, consumables, labor hours, and energy to keep costs within budget.
- Prepare monthly forecasts for consumables and manage purchasing plans.
- Monitor maintenance costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Data Accuracy & Reporting
- Ensure accurate recording of production data (material usage, scrap, labor hours, equipment uptime) in ERP.
- Provide regular reports on production efficiency, equipment performance, and maintenance KPIs.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive 5S, and process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Explore automation and new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Factory Digitalization & Smart manufacturing
- Drive implementation of real time manufacturing monitoring, to enhance visibility and control of manufacturing operations.
- Establish dashboard and KPIs for OEE, scrap, production output and maintenance performance.
Tooling
- Monitor service life for tooling and fixtures used in production.
- Ensure timely maintenance and replacement of critical tools.
Maintenance Department Management
- Oversee maintenance team activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance operations.
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate on R&D samples, trial runs, and testing requirements.
- Support Engineering Change Management and new product introduction readiness.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Maintain inventory accuracy for raw materials and WIP; reduce aged stock and scrap.
- Work with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure material availability and flow.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and company standards for safety, quality, and labor.
- Safeguard confidential information and customer property.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as required to support business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- 5 years or above relevant experience.
- Good command of English.
- Proficient in MS office.
- Good experience in managing workshop safety, health and environment in manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience in FRP pultrusion process and / or steel machining process. (Plus but not necessary)
- Practical experience in multi-shift production management.
- Skillful with workforce communication and management.
