Lean Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Continuous Improvement & Lean Implementation
- Lead and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across production
- Deploy and sustain Lean methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time)
- Identify waste (Muda), variability, and inefficiencies and implement corrective actions

2. Process Analysis and Optimization
- Analyze current processes to identify bottlenecks, cycle time issues, and non-value-added activities
- Develop and implement optimized workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis
- Utilize tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to improve end-to-end flow

3. Performance Monitoring & KPI Management
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, productivity, lead time, and scrap rate
- Establish visual management systems (dashboards, boards, daily management)
- Drive accountability and performance improvements based on data analysis

4. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- Lead structured problem-solving activities using Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Ensure sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented

5. Standardization and Best Practices
- Develop and maintain standard work procedures and documentation
- Ensure consistent application of Lean standards across departments
- Benchmark and share best practices within the organization

6. Training & Change Management
- Train employees and supervisors on Lean principles and tools
- Promote a Lean culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams
- Support new product introductions (NPI) with Lean principles
- Collaborate to improve end-to-end value streams

8. Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement
- Identify and execute projects that deliver cost savings and productivity gains
- Improve resource utilization (labor, materials, equipment)
- Support budgeting through cost analysis and ROI evaluation of improvement projects

9. Factory Digitalization & Smart manufacturing
- Drive implementation of real time manufacturing monitoring, to enhance visibility and control of manufacturing operations.
- Establish dashboard and KPIs for OEE, scrap, production output and maintenance performance.
- Provide regular reports on production efficiency, equipment performance, and maintenance KPIs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Brings a proactive mindset to work, takes ownership of tasks, and aims to deliver dependable results.
