Mission:
Reporting to the Board of Directors and collaborating closely with our Deputy Managing Director, the primary mission of this role is to lead Plant Operations (including Supply Chain), Finance, Accounting, Corporate Compliance, and Internal Audit/Control teams. Emphasis should be made on customer satisfaction by ensuring consistency in the quality and timeliness of the supplies, whilst keeping costs and working capital requirements under control.
You will synchronize these key areas to drive operational excellence, align with Sales & Marketing, Business Development as well as Site Operations and Human Resources, and support the continued growth of the affiliate in line with group policies.
Your focus will be on strategic leadership, compliance, and enhancing efficiency across the organization through adequate alignments.
This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills and a proven track record in leading business operations, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor managers and staff, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Uphold and promote Dextra Group values and policies, aligning operations with business growth and foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and customer service aligning with Board expectations.
- Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and development opportunities to Managers, and build talent pipelines and succession plans for pivotal roles within your sphere of responsibility.
Plant Operations:
- Lead the General Manager, Operations in developing and implementing best practices at all levels.
- Maintain high standards for health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, striving for zero accidents.
- Ensure compliance with group quality standards and group ESG policy.
Finance, Accounting, & Compliance:
- Lead the Finance, Accounting, Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit/Control teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting (financial statements, cash flow, treasury management) and adherence to accounting, reporting, and corporate governance standards and policies.
- Oversee supplier credit control and contribute to budgeting activities with a focus on OPEX & CAPEX.
Performance Management and Process Optimization
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency across finance and operations (plant and sites).
- Drive improvements and process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
Policy Development and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain robust policies, procedures, and standards for business operations, ensuring alignment with group policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly reports and strategic updates to senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Ensure smooth operational coordination with Sales, Business Development, Site Operations and Human Resources through effective matrix management.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing strategic guidance as needed.
Educational background:
Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance or a related field.
Work experience:
15 years of progressive experience in business operations with a focus on plant operations, finance, accounting, or audit.
Recognized experience in a senior leadership role driving operational excellence within a multinational corporation operating in the industrial sector.
